Bring the eggs to room temperature. Place the butter in a heatproof container and microwave for 1-1.5 minutes. Or melt in a double boiler. Preheat the oven to 180℃.

Sift in the cake flour, cocoa powder and baking powder together from a height to incorporate air. Using a rubber spatula, combine with a cut and fold motion until the dry ingredients are only mostly incorporated. Pour melted butter slowly into the batter and again mix with the rubber spatula. Please note that even if you mix the cocoa powder, it won't give the batter an even colour.
Pour the batter into cupcake lining to 70~80% full. Bake in the preheated (180℃) oven for 12 minutes or so.
