(BOILING THE PASTA) In a large pot, add 7 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt to your water if you want it to boil faster. Once your water comes to a boil, add your pasta. Let the pasta cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until soft.
(PREPARING THE CHEESE SAUCE) Turn on your stove to a medium temperature. In a medium-large saucepan, add the butter and let it melt. Once melted, add the milk and the half and half. In a small bowl mix together your parmesan cheese and panko. Sprikle this mixture over the top of the mac n cheese. Put the mac n cheese in the oven and bake it for about 15 minutes or until the top panko is golden and crispy. After taking it out of the oven, sprinkle some more cheddar cheese or you can leave it off.
