  1. In kadai add little oil and roast Channa dal and keep it separately
  2. In same kadai add oil, then add garlic wait to get nice aroma
  3. Then add onion fry nicely till it's turn to light brown color
  4. The add jeera, coriander seed tamarind and 4 pepper corns
  5. Then add tomato fry until oil separate from tomatos
  6. Then add curry leaves, coriander leaves and chillis
  7. Fry nicely and wait until it looks dry and add coconut
  8. Grind using very less water for to get thick consistency and garnish it with mustard and curry leaves

It goes well with Indian breads, pizza, rice, and other such dishes. It can even be added to a sandwich for flavor. My coconut chutney recipe is super simple. I have used just the basic ingredients. I highly recommend using freshly grated coconut. sesame seeds - again like peanuts, give the chutney a nutty flavor. onion, chana dal, cumin seeds are also commonly added to coconut chutney.
