  2. Prepare 1 cup Grated Coconut (appx. 100 grams)
  3. Get 1 Cup Chopped Cucumber (approximately 50 grams)
  4. Make ready 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  5. Take 1 tablespoon Oil
  6. Get 1/2 tsp (mustard seeds)
  7. Get 1/2 tsp Udad dal (black gram)
  8. Make ready 1/2 tsp of finely chpped green chillies
  9. Prepare 2 pinches hing (asafoetida)
  10. Make ready as needed Salt
  11. Make ready 1 cup finely chopped fresh Daniya leaves (Coriander leaves)
Instructions to make Split Green gram Salad (Kosambari):
  1. Clean and rinse moong dal. And soak it for two hours.
  2. In a small pan heat oil and add mustard seeds, hing, udad dal and chpped green chillies. Fry it for a minute.
  3. Then clean the soaked moong dal three times. Drain out the water using a strainer.
  4. Take a big vessel. Add moong dal, grated coconut, salt, cucumber, coriander leaves and the cooled seasoning. Mix it well.
  5. While serving add lemon juice.
