The ingredients needed to make Sambhar in pressure cooker:
  1. Get 200 grams arhar dal
  2. Prepare 100 gms pumpkin (kaddu,luaki)
  3. Make ready 2 roughly chopped onions
  4. Prepare 2 roughly chopped tomatoes
  5. Prepare 1/2 chopped brinjal
  6. Prepare Some fresh curry leaves
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp rai
  8. Take 2 Dry red chillies
  9. Prepare 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  10. Take 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  11. Take Some coconut oil
  12. Prepare 1/2 cup coconut milk
  13. Prepare 1/2 tbsp urad dal
  14. Take 1/2 tbsp chana dal
  15. Prepare as per taste Salt
  16. Take 4 tbsp soaked tamarind water (or 2 tbsp dry mango powder)
  17. Get 1 1/2 tsp sambhar masala
Steps to make Sambhar in pressure cooker:
  1. In a bowl add arhar dal clean and wash it now add the cooker then add 1 and half glass water, half tbsp turmeric powder, salt as per your taste cook up to 3 whistles it's done.
  2. Now let's your dal is completely cool then transfer the bowl keep it aside.
  3. Again heat the cooker add coconut oil then add rai,red chilli, some curry patta, half tbsp urad dal,half tbsp chana dal temper it. Now add chopped onion stir it few minutes then add chopped tomatoes, pumpkin saute it for 6 to 8 mins.
  4. Now add sambhar masala,1tbs red chilli powder, half tsp turmeric powder, some salt mix properly then add soaked tamarind water,coconut milk, some fresh curry leaves cooked dal,half tbsp salt now cook up to 1 whistles and it's done.
  5. Now heat the frying pan add some oil then add rai and curry patta temper it over cooked sambhar.
